With the following privacy policy, I would like to explain to you what types of your personal data (hereinafter also referred to as “data”) I process, for what purposes and to what extent. The privacy policy applies to all processing of personal data carried out by me, both in the context of the provision of my services and in particular on this website, in mobile applications and within external online presences, such as my social media profiles.

The terms used are not gender-specific.

1. Collection and storage of personal data and the nature and purpose of its use

a) When visiting the website

When you visit the website www.versicherung-und-vermoegen.de, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the website server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred in each case
  • Website from which the request originates
  • Browser
  • Operating system and its interface
  • Language and version of the browser software.
  • SSL encryption

I process the aforementioned data for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection to the website
  • Ensuring a comfortable use of our website
  • Evaluation of system security and stability
  • for other administrative purposes

To protect the security of your data during transmission, state-of-the-art encryption methods such as SSL over HTTPS are used. You can find more detailed explanations on this in section 7 of this privacy policy.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR. My legitimate interest follows from the purposes for data collection listed above. Under no circumstances do I use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person.

In addition, cookies and analysis services are used when you visit the website. You can find more detailed explanations on this in sections 3 and 4 of this privacy policy.

b) When using the contact forms

I offer you the opportunity to contact me, submit a complaint or submit an insurance claim using the forms provided on this website. When using these forma, the provision of certain personal data in necessary so that I know from whom the request was sent and so that I can process it to your satisfaction. You also have the option, when using these forms, of providing further personal data on a voluntary basis.

The data processing for the purpose of contacting me or processing your request by me is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter a GDPR on the basis of your voluntarily given consent.

The personal data collected by me for the use of the respective forms will be automatically deleted after your request has been processed.

2. Disclosure of data

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below.

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if:

  • you have given your express consent to this in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter a GDPR,
  • the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing your data,
  • in the event that there is a legal obligation for the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter c GDPR,
  • and this is legally permissible and necessary for the processing of contractual relationships with you in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter b GDPR.

3. Cookies

This website uses cookies. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit this website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your end device and do not contain any viruses, Trojans or other malware.

Information is stored in the cookie that results in each case in connection with the specific end device used. However, this does not mean that I gain direct knowledge of your identity.

On the one hand, the use of cookies serves to make the use of my website more pleasant for you. For example, I use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of this website. These are automatically deleted after you leave the site.

In addition, I also use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness, which are stored on your device for a specified period of time. Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or a message always appears before a new cookie is created. However, completely deactivating cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of this website.

Plugins and tools

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. The Google fonts are installed locally. There is no connection to Google servers.

WP-Statistics

In order to statistically record and evaluate user flows, this website uses the WordPress plugin “WP-Statistics” to store anonymized user data such as the IP address. The data is not passed on to third parties. The anonymized IP addresses transmitted as part of tracking are not merged with other data.

Rights of data subjects

You have the right

  • in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR, to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information about the purposes of processing, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data if it was not collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information about its details;
  • in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, to demand the immediate correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us;
  • in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR, to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims,
  • in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful but you refuse to delete it and we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or you have lodged an objection to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
  • in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data that you have provided to me in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request that it be transmitted to another person responsible;
  • in accordance with Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR, you can revoke your consent at any time. This means that I am no longer allowed to continue the data processing based on this consent in the future.
  • to complain to a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR.

6. Right of objection

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 letter f of the GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Article 21 of the GDPR, provided there are reasons for doing so. which arise from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will implement without specifying a special situation.

7. Data safety

When visiting this website, the common SSL procedure (Secure Socket Layer) is used in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. This is usually 256 bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, 128-bit v3 technology will be used instead. You can tell whether an individual page on this website is transmitted encrypted by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the bottom status bar of your browser. I also use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties. The security measures used for this purpose are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

8. Use of WhatsApp

WhatsApp is a service provided by WhatsApp Inc., which in turn is part of Facebook, Inc. As part of my work as an insurance broker, I use this external application exclusively as a service channel. I am in no way responsible for the content and data shared, uploaded and processed via WhatsApp. WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies in this case.

Please read WhatsApp’s privacy policy (https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/) carefully before using WhatsApp. By using WhatsApp to get in touch with me, you automatically agree to these guidelines.

If you write me a message via WhatsApp, your telephone number will be disclosed to me. I shall only use the number for WhatsApp communication with you and the chat content only to process your request.

However, please take note the WhatsApp terms of use, over which I have no influence: If you install and use WhatsApp on your mobile phone, you agree to WhatsApp’s terms of use. These include, among other things, granting WhatsApp Inc. access to your telephone number and the contacts stored on your phone. For questions of a personal or confidential nature (i.e. with content that concerns personal data), an email address or telephone number should be provided for further correspondence, as I usually prefer not to answer such questions via WhatsApp.

Under no circumstances will I ask you to share personal information with me via WhatsApp. If you nonetheless send me personal information via WhatsApp, it happens entirely under your own responsibility and I will in no circumstances be held liable for any breach of privacy that may happen in consequence.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

I reserve the right to adapt this data protection declaration so that it always corresponds to the current legal requirements or changes to my services can be implemented in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. The new data protection declaration will then apply to your next visit.
